Brecken Bihl

Dear Amelia -

You have a new friend. Introducing...Brecken Bihl who was born on Saturday, 9/26.

Before Mommy went to visit Brecken, You and I did nothing all day until Daddy came home from work! When Daddy got home, we ran some errands and came back home to play for a bit. 

This is your new smile. You are so cute!

Mommy went with Sarah and Wendy to go visit Brecken on Saturday. I've been friends with Brecken and Teegan's (Breckens big brother) Mommy since 2nd grade. You are right in the middle of her 2 boys. Congrats Jason, Kia and Teegan on your new family member!

Sunday - We went shopping to Target in the morning. I put you in the cart and I could feel something wet on my elbow. When I looked, it was BIRD POOP! It got all over my arms and shirt. Luckily none got on you. Target cleaned off the cart (I got a new one) and they gave me a $3 off coupon and we started our shopping. After Target we went over to Old Navy. All of Mommy's fall/winter clothes are too big since I've lost 30+ pounds! This is a good thing but costs some extra $$. I didn't buy any new pants because they didn't have anything "short" in my size. We did have a good time tho. After that, we went home to watch the awesome VIKINGS game!!

Tonight we are going over to Glamma and Cookies because Tim Gates is in town. Fun fun fun!!

Norman!

Dear Amelia -

You had such a fun day yesterday playing with Grandma Kiki AND Aunty Aubrey yesterday! You are so lucky to have people in your life that love you so much!

After we got home, we went on a walk to pick up a portable highchair from some people we found on craigslist. It was only $5 and now you'll have somewhere to sit at Aubrey's! I'm thinking about finding a cheap pack n' play for her house to because I just realized you have no where to sleep when you are at her house.

After we got back from our walk, you followed Norman around...

Then it was time for bed. I watched Grey's Anatomy while you slept and Daddy watched a movie. 

This morning you were your usual cheerful self....

This is my new favorite picture of you. I think its hilarious. 

This weekend we have NO PLANS! Except we might go visit Molly, Owen and Colton tomorrow but that's not confirmed yet. Daddy has to work all weekend so we'll have to entertain ourselves. Hopefully we'll see Pam and Jax.

Hiiii

Dear Amelia -

What a fun weekend we had! Saturday, we woke up and went to Once Upon a Child and got you some new outfits. Then we came home to wait for Bjorna, Dharma, Wyatt and Jane. Before they got there you started to wave and say "Hiii." Its so cute. Once they got there, you and Jane played while Wyatt entertained us. Pictures to come (I haven't uploaded them from the camera yet)

You played in Norman's kennel for a bit...
Then we went to Awesome Uncle Aldo's game with Pam and Meghan. When we got there, Glamma, Cookie, Tore and Carrotts were already there. We met up with a bunch of people. Tore made a new friend...
Then it was time to go in the stadium to watch the game. You were a crabby baby girl that day. "Aunty" Carrotts taught you some Norwegian songs. Once Daddy got to the game (he was late because he had to work,) I handed you off to him to see if he could make you happy but there was no turning back. We hoped in the car and you were asleep before we even got on the highway. 

We went back to Glamma and Cookie's for a sleepover so we could play some games with Tore and Carrotts before they left us :( 

Sunday - We got up early and went home to take a nap. Then it was off to Sarah and Justins to watch football. You had so much fun playing with Dilbert the dog (who is the size of Norman's head) and Sarah just happened to have a play kitchen in her car that you enjoyed playing with. We had a fun time. After the game, we went home for another nap. 

Monday - You and Daddy went to Target while I was at work. After work, we just hung out for the rest of the evening. You had a bit of a temp (99.9, nothing major) and fell right to sleep. 

Today you and Daddy are going with Papa Jim to Smash Burger for Daddy's post birthday lunch.

Big Bowl

Dear Amelia -

Its so fun to pick you up after work. You get so excited to see me. I love it. After I picked you up from Kiki's, we met Daddy at home for a brief minute then we were off to dinner at Big Bowl. I love that place. You were perfect as usual.

After dinner, Daddy and I decided we were going to get each other a small present for our anniversary so we went to the Vikings shop at Ridgedale. Daddy got this hat...

Then it was time to go home to eat and go to bed.

You woke up a few times in the middle of the night crying. I hope you feel ok. I took your temp and everything was fine. Maybe you just had some bad dreams.

We have a fun weekend lined up. Tonight, nothing. Tomorrow, Daddy has to work and we are having Bjorna, Dharma, Jane and Wyatt over to play! You and Jane are only a little over a month apart so it will be fun to see you two play. Jane's mom is my 2nd cousin...I wonder what that makes you two? Then we are going to Awesome Uncle Aldo's football game in St Paul. Then back to Minnetonka for a sleepover at Glamma and Cookie's to hang out with Tore and Carrotts one last time. Boo hoo. Sunday, we are going over to Sarah and Justins to watch the Vikings game! YIPPIE!

Happy Anniversary - 4 Years!

Dear Amelia -

Today is Mommy and Daddy's 4 year Anniversary! I tried to find a few pictures from our wedding and here's the ones I came across!

On another note, Daddy refused to go to the doctor yesterday but his fever broke. He's feeling better today so he decided to go to work. I hope he's feeling better. I had a dentist appointment this morning so I didn't get to see either of you for very long this morning. 

Last night we just hung out. I forgot to mention that you've been holding your own bottle like a big girl for about a week now. Sure makes feeding you a lot easier!

Poor Daddy

Dear Amelia - 

Daddy still has a temp so he is staying home from work today. There's a flu called H1N1 (aka Swine Flu) going around. We are going to take Daddy to the doctor today to make sure he doesn't have that. Seems like he has all of the symptoms tho. If this is the case, he won't be able to go to work for the rest of the week. I told Daddy to wash his hands a lot and NO KISSES for you! He said it would be hard but he would try.

He insisted that you stay home with him today. You were well behaved for him yesterday so hopefully you can do the same today.

Last night, you got a bath and Daddy went to bed around 7. He ended up not being able to fall asleep so him and I watched the finale of Big Brother (Yeah Jordan!)

Tonight's agenda...nothing :)

New Tricks

Dear Amelia -

Phew, everything has settled down and we can finally be home just us for the week! Since it was Daddy's 29th birthday on Sunday, we had to go to the DMV to get his licensed renewed and get new tabs for my car. This was your first trip to the DMV. You played in your stroller while we waited for our number (C2355) to be called. 

After Daddy took care of his business, we went home for dinner and play time. You've learned a few new tricks over the weekend. Every once and awhile we can say "How big is Amelia...?" and you'll raise your hands up. Doesn't happen very often but you do know how to do it. You've also learned how to clap. Its beyond adorable. I don't think this is PC but its cute, you can put your hand over your mouth and make the Indian chant...following me? Its cute because you miss your mouth most of the time. 

Daddy is not feeling well today. He woke up in the middle of the night with a temp of 101.6. Poor Daddy. I hope you are behaving for him so he can rest.

Tore's "Home"

Dear Amelia -

Sorry for not blogging yesterday. I'm working a short week this week which makes work very

 busy! 

Speaking of busy, we had another busy weekend.

Friday night, we had a sleep over at Glamma and Cookie's with Pam and Jax. Ashley came over for a little bit to hang with us. 

Saturday morning, we woke up...watched cartoons

 and you two took a bath.

Saturday during the day, You, Daddy, Pam, Jackson, Billy and Pam's brother Jon went to the fair while I napped. Daddy said you laughed at the pigs then took a long nap. Saturday night you went back to Glamma and Cookies for another sleep over with the boys while Mommy went out for Pam's 2nd bachelorette party. 

Sunday, We went to Owen's 4th Birthday Party. I can't believe he is four. Today is his birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OWEN! Then went to Meghan's for dinner. 

Monday, We did a whole lotta nothing during the day then you stayed home with Daddy while Mommy and Billy picked up Tore from the airport. He brought his beautiful girlfriend, Andrea on this trip. We made up a nick name for her..."Carrotts" She can see really far.

Tuesday, I worked while you played with Daddy. You learned how to clap yesterday. It doesn't make any sound but you try. After work, I went to a shower for Meghann Miller then I was off to Mike and Teri's for a shower for Billy and Pam. You and Daddy met me there. Normally you go to bed about 730 but last night you didn't go to sleep until 9! Such a big girl! 

Tonight we are going over to Glamma and Cookies again to hang with the Norwegians!

Long weekend!!!

Dear Amelia -

Last night, we went over to Glamma and Cookies to hang out with Billy, Pam and Jax, You two babies are so funny together. Jackson kept stealing your paci and he'd put it in his mouth for a second, then you would steal it back until he took it from you again. 

We get to hang out with Pam and Jax again tonight for a little slumber party while Daddy and Billy have a "guys night" then we are waking them up nice and early to go to the fair together! After the fair, its Mommy and Pam's girls night! We are going downtown for the evening. Sunday, we have Owen's 4th birthday party! Then over to Meghan's for dinner before 3 of the Norwegian's come to town! We will patiently wait for Tore and his girlfriend Andrea to get in town on Monday evening! Next week is going to be go go go with showers, grooms dinners and a WEDDING!!
