Tonight is NEW YEARS EVE! One of my least favorite nights of the year. There usually a lot of build up for the evening and nothing fun ever happens. You are going with Glamma and Cookie up to the Millers cabin so you can dream about kissing Finn at midnight! Daddy and Mommy are going to Sarah and Justins for a party! Tomorrow, we have Christmas redo with the Dirks' since the Gomez's couldn't make it up on actual Christmas.

The rest of the weekend is going to be pretty low key.

Dear Amelia -

Half way through Monday I decided to take a half day and then take Tuesday off. I picked you up at home and we met Glamma, Billy, Pam, Jax and Alex at Spasso's for lunch.

Then back to Glamma and Cookies for a sleepover!

We watched the Vikings game over there. What a disappointing game. An overtime loss :(

Tuesday, we hung out all day and didn't do much of anything. Once we got home, you watched your new dvd player for about 2 minutes then played.
Today, its back to work for me and you are at Aubrey's. The Stephens' all left today. We'll miss them :(

Christmas!!

Dear Amelia -

Wow! What a weekend! Christmas Eve, we went to Mike and Teri's house. It was so much fun and you looked adorable as always.
It had snowed A LOT and we were afraid Billy wasn't going to make it in town BUT he did! We were home by 730 so you could make it to bed on time because Santa was coming the next day!

Santa brought you a dvd player for the car! That'll sure come in handy on the long trips up to the cabin or to Milwaukee! You got TONS of other fun gifts. Too many to name!
After we opened your santa gift, we went to Glamma and Cookies to open presents then off to Kiki's to celebrate with the Dirks. You were tired even before we got to Kiki's.
At 2, we went back to Glamma and Cookies for the night! We had so much fun! You slept over there while Daddy and I took a cab back home.

Saturday, Daddy, Mommy, Pam and Billy went to the Wild game with my bosses seasons tickets! A friend of Mommy's from High School works for the Wild part time and hooked Billy up with a ride on the Zamboni! It was SO much fun!
Awesome uncle Aldo caught the puck in the middle of the game! You had a sleepover at Kiki's for the night!

Sunday, we woke up and got you. At 2, Mr Stephens and Lydia made the trip over to see you and Jax. They brought presents! WOO HOO!
Phew! What a long, fun weekend! Today, Uncle Doodie is coming over to hang out with you and Daddy!

Christmas weekend!!

Dear Amelia -

Every year, Gram Gram takes the girl cousins out for pedicures! You stayed home with Daddy while I had a little bonding time with my cousins and Grandma!! Here is Gram Gram being silly.

We have a tradition to pick out really ugly nail polish colors...here's my pick this year, I actually like them!!We have a busy Christmas weekend! Tomorrow, Mommy has the day off but you are still going to go with Kiki for a couple of hours so I can bake and clean! Then we go to Mike and Teri's house for Christmas eve with the Stephens! Then Christmas morning, wake up bright and early to get to Glamma and Cookies by 8 to open the gifts that Santa left! At 10, we'll head over to Kiki's for brunch until 215. Then back to the Colehour's to celebrate with the Grade's and Colehours! Saturday, you are having a sleepover at Kiki's while Daddy, Mommy, Billy and Pam go to the wild game! Mommy scored Billy a ride on the zamboni!! Pictures to come! Sunday, MR STEPHENS & LYDIA are making a trip over to visit with you!!!

Fun with Jax!

Dear Amelia -

Pam and Jackson got in town perfectly on Thursday night. Friday, we went over to Glamma and Cookies to hang out with them. Jax is getting so tall and thin. When you say "light" he points and says it. Its beyond adorable.

Saturday, you and I did a little shopping then went home for naps before you went back to Glamma and Cookies for a sleepover with Jackson while Mommy and Daddy went to Sarah and Justins for a Hanukkah party!

Sunday, Daddy worked while you and I went to the Dirks' Christmas party. We left a little early because you were exhausted. I took this picture 2 minutes after we got in the car.

Then it was time to go home to get ready to watch the Vikings game. You were helping Mommy pick out a recipe for Pecan pie.
This week is a busy week but luckily its only 3 days of work! WOO HOO! Uncle Billy comes home on Thursday night! YES!

Not too much to report today. Here you are being adorable this morning in your adorable hat.

Tonight we are going over to Glamma and Cookie's to hang out with Pam and Jax!! They are in town until the 30th! Tomorrow, Daddy works. Tomorrow night, you are going back over to Glamma and Cookie's for a sleepover with Jackson while Daddy and I go to Sarah and Justins for a Hanukkah party! Then on Sunday we have Dirks' Christmas at Great Grandma and Grandpa Dirks' house. Fun weekend!

Daddy worked a half day yesterday so he met you and Aubrey to pick you up early! You guys went home and hung out. After work, I went to the carwash because a can of pop exploded in my car and made a mess. Oops :) Then it was time to come home to spend time with you and wrap presents!!

We are officially done Christmas shopping! Phew, that feels good. I tried to wrap all of our presents last night but I ran out of tape and had no beautiful ribbon. I'll go to Target over lunch.

Santa!!

Dear Amelia -

Yesterday, we went to visit Santa at Ridgedale.

You weren't scared of Santa this time. You just sat on his lap, not sure what to think!

You were in a great mood last night. Your new favorite thing to do is play with Mommy's hair. You put it in its place, then look at it, then fix it again. You also like to talk on the phone. You are one funny girl!!

Welcome Home Blake!!

Dear Amelia -

Fun weekend! Friday night, we hung out at home and did nothing. Saturday - Daddy went to work while you and I made cookies in the morning and then went to the PD Christmas Party. There was lots of food, music and Santa.

Sunday, you and I went to the airport to greet Blake who is home from Iraq on his R&R for 2 weeks! Fun! It's always emotional when he comes home!

I dropped you off at home after the airport. Daddy asked Papa Jim to come over for the Vikings game while I went to Katie's for a cookie exchange! We had a great time!

Today I met you and Daddy at Ridgedale so you could get your picture taken by Santa again. Picture to come tomorrow :)

Happy Hanukkah!

Dear Amelia -

Today is the first day of Hanukkah! Happy Hanukkah to those that celebrate this fine holiday.

You are starting to become a little more brave on your walking. While I was at Target, Daddy called to say that you had walked from the coffee table all the way to the microwave last night, all by yourself! I also got a text from Laura this morning saying "Amelia is walking!" No news to us but its exciting none the less!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Dear Amelia -

We set up our Christmas Tree on Friday. It looks so pretty. You cried anytime we walked near it. Last night you would actually sit next to it. In this picture it looks crooked. We'll have to fix that.

I'd also like to share the video that Ashley put together from Billy and Pam's wedding. She's an awesome photographer and has decided to purchase her own CRAZYBOOTH! Fun!!

Dear Amelia -

You are so popular. Look at all of the visitors who have visited your page. This is since June 2009. Wow! Lots of ghost readers I guess :)

We had an uneventful weekend...FINALLY! Friday, we did nothing. Saturday, I cleaned while you napped. Saturday night, you were walking around like crazy...

By Sunday, we were bored. So we went with Glamma and Cookie to pick out their 12' Christmas tree with Stewarts, Liebs and Martha. It was colddd!

After tree shopping, we went to lunch/breakfast and you were tired so I bought you out to the car to take a nap.
You are home with Daddy today and tomorrow! Yippie!

What a boring week! We really haven't done anything exciting so your blog has been a bit bland. Last night, you took a bath.

Last night was just another normal night at the Dirks'. We had dinner and played. We practiced walking...

Today is Britney Spears birthday, which she happens to share with ME! So Mommy turns 29 today. Pretty easy number to change. Life is good so there's nothing not to be happy about! Now the count down begins for my 30th 80's party! :)

DECEMBER?

Dear Amelia -

Today is the first day of December and it certainly feels like it! Its pretty chilly!

You were a crabby baby last night. We put you to bed at 7 and you fell right to sleep. Maybe its another growth spurt!

Remember this hat from last year?

Well I had another one made to fit you this year. You pull it off any chance you get! It was one of my favorite shower gifts that I got when I was pregnant with you!
