Twins Game!

Dear Amelia and Max -

We went to our first Twins game of 2012 and of Max's life! 

 Max - you were PERFECT, didn't even fuss once! 

 Amelia - You were SPOILED by Ashley!!! You loved your ice cream! 

The weather was perfect...we were in a nice shady spot! 

AND THE TWINS WON! Woo hoo!

1st boat ride of the season!

Dear Amelia and Max -

We went on our first boat ride of the season...and Max, it was your first boat ride EVER!

We received your awesome new life jacket in the mail on Friday so it was perfect timing.

 (Other Mom's of infants - you gotta get this life jacket, its not bulky in the back so he could lay flat on his back or be held easily, he didn't cry once while wearing it)

 We grabbed lunch at Bayside and went back on the lake where you both fell asleep!

 After the boat, we went over to Glamma and Cookies for a sleepover!

Amelia's first dentist appointment

Dear Amelia and Max -
Amelia, you had your first dentist appointment on Monday. A friend of mine from work took her daughter to Camp Smile and LOVED it so I thought we should give it a try.
You loved the super cool shades you got to wear. They said you did awesome for 3 years old...I'm sure they say that to all the pretty girls!

Max, you were SO naughty....

Amelia's Dance Recital

 Dear Amelia and Max -
Amelia, You had your first dance recital tonight. You looked SO CUTE!!! You couldn't wait to put on your costume.

Max says "Go Yaya!"

When we practiced at home, you know every word to every song and know all the dance moves...but get in front of other people and there is not a chance getting you to dance! Here is proof:

Spray Tanning

Dear Amelia and Max -

Flossy and Anner headed to Hawaii today so in preparation, Flossy hired a lady to come over to her house to apply spray tan. I was lucky enough to be invited. 

When Max and I returned, I looked like this...

Amelia - you looked at me so confused. You wouldn't stop looking at me and wouldn't say anything. 

A little later...Max started to cry and I said "Max, whats wrong" and you looked at me and said "Maybe, maybeeee he is scared of YOUR FACE!"

I've never laughed so hard in my life. You, Amelia Dirks, are a RIOT!

I went straight into the bathroom and washed my face off...I like normal today :)

Max's first day of Daycare

Dear Amelia and Max -

My first day back at work was a success! Daddy sent me a few pictures to get my through my day...check out this happy boy!

 I was a little nervous to get you both ready and out the door this morning but it was a breeze. I had everything organized so I just had to get you both dressed.

How cute are you? I hope you are both behaving!

Croup

Dear Amelia and Max -

We headed down to Winona on Friday afternoon to celebrate Awesome Uncle Aldo graduation from Winona State University! At the end of the month, he will make the big move up to Minnetonka. Yay Alex! 

Friday night, Mommy and Daddy went out to celebrate. Amelia, you stayed overnight with Flossy and Max, you stayed with Sherry! We had a fun time out!

On Saturday, Amelia woke up with a temp. Flossy said you woke up a few times at night. We had a feeling you weren't feeling well on Friday. You had a barky cough, once you hear that...you never forget it!
We took you to a Winona Urgent Care where the doctor put you on some meds.

We have been trying to keep you away from Max as much as possible! You have had a temp since Saturday - reaching 103 degrees at times. Hopefully you feel better soon.

 I am back at work today! Today was easy to leave you guys since I know you are home with Daddy....tomorrow might be another story.

Crib

Dear Amelia and Max -

Max, we started putting you in your crib last Friday! You have slept about 50/50 in your crib and in your swing (next to our bed.) Not too bad buddy! You have been sleeping better, waking up every 2-3 hours. Thank you!! :)
