Happy Birthday Mr Stephens!!

Dear Amelia -
WOW! What a weekend! Wednesday after work, we meet you at Grandma Kiki's for Dirks' Thanksgiving! We had a non-traditional Thanksgiving feast with a "nice green salad", pot pie, a jello dish and a really really nummy dessert. Everything was SO great!

Thursday - Mommy went on a walk with the Grades' while you and Daddy stayed home. I bought Norman with on the walk - BIG MISTAKE! He is so strong. My arms were sore for 3 days. We got to Glamma and Cookies around noon. It was a fun time and we stayed up wayyy to late. Here you are eating your first Thanksgiving meal.
Friday - We hung around the house for awhile then went home to get ready for Awesome Uncle Aldo's 21st birthday. You went to Grandma Kiki's for the night while the adults went to the Shout House via LIMO!! It was so fun! Alex had a great time.

Kiki dropped you off in the morning Saturday. We took naps and played until 430. We went BACK to Glamma and Cookies so you and Daddy could hang out there with Alex while Mommy had her big night out. First we were off to the Jaglo wedding (GO TEAM JAGLO!) It was so beautiful. Kellee was the most beautiful bride! We had a great time! I wish I could have stayed longer. Then Molly picked up Mommy to go to my 10 year reunion. It was a blast. One person stopped me and said, "I was just telling so and so that Liz Seals has the cutest baby boy from our grade and YOU have the cutest baby girl." If that's not the truth, I don't know what is!! I got tons and tons of compliments on you! You are adorable...thats for sure. After the reunion, I had a sleepover at Sarah's while you slept at Glamma & Cookies again.

Sunday - You and Daddy came home around 9am. Daddy let me nap allll day. Sunday night, we practiced walking. You took 12 steps and have started to venture on your own. You still do majorty crawling but you are becoming more brave.
Uncle Billy left on his first 5 day deployment yesterday. Here he is infront of the ship! Pretty cool!

Today is Mr Stephens' birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR STEPHENS!!

Mom

4 steps

Dear Amelia -
I picked you up from daycare a little early and we headed over to meet Glamma at her house. She watched you while I went to Kia's salon to get my brows waxed! When I returned, we practiced walking. I got a new work phone with video on it so I was able to capture some steps.

After Glamma's, we went home and Sarah met us there to show us her adorable outfit for the reunion. She stayed and chatted for a bit until Daddy got home from work. Its a busy week at Coborns Delivers since its Thanksgiving so he had to work kind of late. Tonight too probably. Hopefully not too late though because we celebrate Thanksgiving at Grandma Kiki's tonight!

Tomorrow is your 2nd Thanksgiving! Can't wait to celebrate with you! Mommy is looking very much to the fun filled weekend ahead :)

Mom

3 steps!!

Dear Amelia -
I picked you up from daycare last night and Laura sent us home with your first art project! Its 2 turkeys made from your cute little hand prints! Its so adorable.

Once we got home, we worked on your walking. You took 3 steps!! YEAH! You laughed everytime you would walk between me and Daddy. You hit your head 3 times which you just shook off and tried again!

This morning, as you were eating breakfast and I was getting ready for work. The power went out. Here you are prior to no light...
It was not fun getting you read this morning!

You are at daycare again today so Daddy can have the whole weekend off! YIPPIE!

Fun Weekend!

Dear Amelia -
What a fun weekend! We had so much fun shopping on Saturday for Mommy's new outfit. We ended up going with a dress and a cardigan type thing to go over it with black boots. It'll be perfect because I can go from Kellee & Jasons wedding, straight to the reunion without changing!!

Saturday night, we hung out at Glamma & Cookies with Robin and Ginny while the boys were at the Gopher game.

Sunday, we watched the game on over at the Colehours then went home to hang.

On Friday, you came home with a rash. Its still there so we are keeping an eye on that. It appears to have gotten better but if its still around after a few more days, I'm going to take you in to get it checked out.

We have a busy week! Wednesday, Thanksgiving with the Dirks. Thursday, Thanksgiving with the Grades, Friday, Alex's 21st birthday. Saturday, Kellee & Jasons wedding and my 10 year class reunion! FUN FUN FUN!! Can't wait :)

Mom

6 days until Thanksgiving!

Dear Amelia -
You had another fun day at Grandma Kiki's. You took 2, 2 hour naps and when you got home...you were in a great mood! We practiced saying "Thank You"...

We have a fun weekend planned. Tonight, I am going over to Sarah and Justins new house to help unpack while you stay home with Daddy. Then tomorrow, while Daddy works, we are going to clean the house. After Daddy gets done with work, we are going to go over to Glamma and Cookies for a sleepover. Daddy, Cookie, Awesome Uncle Aldo and Jon Kuelz are going to the Gopher hockey game while Me, you and Glamma go SHOPPING for Mommy's birthday present. I need a new outfit for my class reunion next weekend so we are going a bit early. Then back to the house to wait for the guys to come back from the game. Sunday, we will watch the game over there then go home for the rest of the day.

Thank You!

Dear Amelia -
After seeing THIS, we had to try it out ourselves...

Adorable. Your hair is getting so long. Someday soon we'll be able to put it in a big girl pony!

Last night, when we got home...we ate dinner and played. Everytime you give me something I say "Thank you!" and you started to repeat it last night. Its hilarious. I will try to get it on video tonight.

Love,
Mom

PS - 1 week until Thanksgiving (my favorite Holiday!)

EEEE

Dear Amelia -
Yesterday I picked you up from Laura's and you were in a chatty mood. We practiced saying the following words: "Daddy", "Doggy" & "Mommy" but we don't say them like that. We (you) say "Dadeeeeeee", "Dogeeeeee" & "Momeeee". It is the most adorable thing when you say it.

When we got home, we played then you took a bath. Then Daddy put on your jam jam's...
He didn't think anything of tucking in your shirt to your pants. He just wanted you to be warm. Your bottom half was HUGE and hilarious.
Then we got up this morning, ate breakfast and went on with our day!

You are starting to look like such a big girl!

Mom

Its a special day! Today is Jackson's first birthday!!! I can't believe he is ONE! He's such a special little boy, I wish we could spend alll day with him but they are in VA :( We miss them but we'll see them next month!

Here's the picture of us first meeting Mr Jackson (you were only 17 days old! )

Here's a picture that Aunty Pam sent this morning of the big boy on his birthday. He looks like he's going to the office. She said he wouldn't keep his eyes open.

Last night, we just hung out and played all night. Daddy made a turkey and boy was it DE-LISH! I love Turkey. Here you are with your crazy hair-do....

Hope you are having fun at Laura's today!

Family Pictures

Dear Amelia -
Last time I wrote to you, we were headed to the doctor Friday. When I picked you up from daycare, they said you were a crabby girl all day. I was kind of expecting that since I knew you didn't feel well. When we got to the doctor, we sat in the room for 45 minutes before the doctor came in. This didn't help that it was your nap time. You cried and cried while she checked you out. She checked in your ears and said you had an ear infection! Poor baby! So now you are on some meds for the next 10 days. You seem to feel all better :)

Saturday, we went to the General Store to Glamma a birthday present then went home for the rest of the day. Once Daddy got home from work, we went to Target to get some stuff for Blake's care package since this is our week to send him his weekly package. When we got home, I started making cookies, chex mix and banana bread for Blake. We also are sending him some magazines, movies and other goodies!

Sunday, We met Glamma and Cookie for our family christmas pictures in Millers neighborhood. Heres a preview but our final Christmas card isn't in here as we must keep that under wraps until our card is sent :)

After our pictures, you and Daddy went to Aunty Aubrey & Uncle Doodies to watch the Vikings game while I went to a baby shower for Wendy. Then we met at Glamma and Cookies to have dinner with Awesome Uncle Aldo and his friends.

What a fun weekend :)

Love,
Mom

Still Sick...

Dear Amelia -
You poor thing. You are still not feeling well. Grandma Kiki said you weren't yourself yesterday. When I got home from work, you were still not feeling well. We put you to bed at 615 last night. When I went downstairs to watch the CMAs, I checked on you. You were awake, silent. I rocked you for a bit. You just wanted to be held. You slept until 630am this morning.

Daddy took your temp, it went down to 101.6. I'm going to call the doctor today to see if this is still normal for you to have a temp. They didn't say it was going to last over a day. My poor babe.

Here is a video of you from happier times...

1 year check up

Dear Amelia -
You had your 1 year doctors appointment yesterday

Here are the stats from your 9 month visit:
Weight: 20 pounds 6 ounces -- 75%
Length: 27 3/4 -- 55% (Doc says she thinks you were being measured incorrectly before)
Head: 18" -- 90% (no surprise there)

Here are the stats from your 1 year visit:
Weight: 22 pounds 3 ounces -- 70%
Length: 30.5 -- 90% (Hmm...seems fishy)
and drum roll please...Head: 18.75 -- 97%

You and the Doctor were not friends at this visit. You cried and cried when she checked you out. The 4 shots didn't help either. We were suppose to get your food allergies tested yesterday but decided to do it another day to give you a break. We are were also going to meet with a dermatologist to see what the bump is on your neck but we'll do that at a later date as well.

You woke up this morning with a temp of 102 but the doctor warned us that that would happen so we were not too concerned. Just gave you some mortin and you were on your way to hang with Grandma Kiki.

By special request...here is a video of you. You had pulled your pants off and were trying to put them back on. It was hilarious.

Mom

Jackson's Birthday Party!

Dear Amelia -
8 Days before Jax's real birthday, we had a little birthday party for Jackson. You were wearing your birthday party outfit (it has cute cupcakes on it) and we were ready to go! We had beef sandwiches, yummy salads that Aunty Pam made and CAKE!
Here you are hanging out with Brooke and Greg
Here's the birthday boy after he "ate" his cake.
We didn't do to much this weekend. Friday, we hung out. Saturday, you and I went shopping with your Halloween money. You got 2 new outfits and a winter jacket! SCORE! Saturday night, you hung out with Daddy while I went over to Kia's with the girls to hang out with Pretty Katie.

Sunday, Daddy had to work. You took 2 really long naps which was very helpful because Mommy had a headache. I was even able to sneak in a 2 hour nap.

This weekend, we are going to take our family portrait. Fun :)

Mom

YOUR GIFT!

Dear Amelia -
I forgot to tell you how much you love the gift that Daddy and I gave your for your birthday! We got you a KITCHEN! You love it.
You don't so much play with it as much as open and close the cabinets and stuff. On Saturday, you decided it would be fun to kneel on the oven door. What wasn't so fun is when the whole entire kitchen fell on top of you. You cried and cried. Poor babe.

Sarah got you this cute little apron and hat for your birthday to play with in your kitchen.

We don't have much planned this weekend. Daddy has to work the whole weekend so its just me and you kid. Saturday night, I'm going over to Kia's with the girls because Pretty Katie is in town. YIPPIE!

Mom

Daylight Saving Time

Dear Amelia -
We hate daylight saving time. It means very crabby nights because your body is telling you its bed time an hour before bed time. Last night you had quite the temper tantrum. There was NOTHING that would make you happy. Elmo, Horse, Bottle and we even tried a bath. We put you to be early and you cried for a bit but fell fast asleep.

This morning you were in a decent mood! Here you are in your St Cloud State t-shirt that your 2nd cousin Shannon gave you...
Hope you are having fun with Kiki!

Love,
Mom

More birthday party pictures

Dear Amelia -
Nothing much has been going on at our house this week so I'm just going to post some pictures!

Here you are on your new pony from Grandma Kiki and Papa Jim

Here's the cupcake before....
After!

This is AFTER you destroyed the cake on Sunday.

After you got all cleaned up, we opened presents!
What's in there?

More to come :)

Halloween and Birthday Party

Dear Amelia -
Wow...what a weekend! Friday night, we celebrated your birthday over Bean Burritos and cupcakes! You got a really cool gift from Kiki and Papa Jim. An interactive horse that you can ride on. You love it! I think we might steal the idea for Jax for his birthday :) Maybeee! So much fun. You loved your cupcake!
Saturday - We spent the most of the day with Molly, Owen and Colton until Daddy got home. Then it was time to go trick-r-treating. We went to Papa Jims, Glamma and Cookies, Grandma Kiki's and Sarah and Justins. By the time we got home, you were not loving your ADORABLE puppy costume!
Here's you and Jackson playing with candy. He was the cutest little devil :)
Sunday - The big PAR-TAY!! There were about 50 people there. We served white chicken chili, turkey soup and MORE CAKE!! You were a MESS!
You got so many awesome gifts! So spoiled! I have lots more pictures but I can't share them yet because we are sending out some of them for your thank you card.

You are saying some new words..."Doggy", "Baby" and "Daddy". Everytime you see one of those things, you say their names. No "Mommy" yet...still "Mama" tho.

It was daylight savings time yesterday, it will take a few days for all of us to get use to that!

Love,
Mom
