Dear Amelia -
Well, its Memorial Day Weekend! That means its SUMMER! You love to be outside!

We have a busy weekend! Tonight, we are going over to Glamma and Cookies with all of the Grades to dedicate the waterfall to (Great) Grandpa Bob.
Saturday, we are going to take your 18 month photos! I can't wait!
Sunday, Mommy is getting up early and heading to Duluth. We are spending the night up there for Norman's Memorial. You and Daddy are going to stay home. We have been dogsitting for the last 15 days and Kaia and Raja are getting picked up late Sunday night so you guys need to be here. I wish you could come!

Duluth!

Dear Amelia -
Monday already? Saturday, while I went to Katie's baby shower, you and Daddy hung out. When I got home, we walked to downtown Hopkins to Mainstreet Days. We didn't buy anything but we had fun checking out all of the stuff.
It was perfect weather, we hung out outside. You and Daddy threw the ball to the dogs and to me...

We went to bed early because we had to get up early on Sunday to head to Duluth.

We met at Flossy's house (she decided she wants you to call her Flossy instead of Gram Gram) at 7am. We got to Margee's around 1030. It was so fun to hang out with Julia for a few hours. There were even some other visitors. Hanko, Judy, Sheilagh, Patricia and Janie Kelly. Such a fun visit!

We were on the road by 330pm, by 331 you were fast asleep!

Love,
Mom

PS - Sorry, I tried to post some vids but blogger is being temperamental!

Lacrosse

Dear Amelia -
Yesterday, Daycare closed early so picked you up and we went SHOPPING! First, we went to Babies R Us for a baby gift for Katie’s baby shower. Then went to Old Navy and lastly Bed Bath and Beyond. We didn’t purchase anything at the final locations but it was a fun afternoon!
In the evening, we went to a little of Ben’s Lacrosse game at Minnetonka. It was my first Lacrosse game ever. Yours too!

We got home after your bed time, once we put you down, you didn’t make a peep until 645 this morning! Yeah!

This weekend could potentially turn into a busy one. Tomorrow morning, I have Katie’s baby shower at 11am and you are going to stay home with Daddy. There is a chance we go up to Duluth on Saturday afternoon because Julia is in town from California. We are waiting to hear back from Gram Gram.
Sunday, Daddy works so we are just going to hang!

Love,
Mom

Wednesday...

Dear Amelia -
Half way thru the week...we can do it! Yippie!

Nothing too exciting going on this week. Last night, I went to a shower for Marit to celebrate her upcoming wedding. You and Daddy stayed home. When I got home, you were sound asleep.

Tonight we are just going to hang at home! Yay!

ABC's

Dear Amelia -
Sorry for not posting a blog Friday!
We had such a great weekend! Daddy and I got a ton of stuff down around the house. Friday after work, you and I went to pick out some paint for the front entry of our house. Then we picked Daddy up from work and headed over to Glamma and Cookie’s for dinner and you had a sleepover! I painted the entry way that night.
Saturday, we woke up early and cleaned out the garage! It feels so good to get all of the junk out of there! One trip to the dump and we were all set. We were thinking about getting rid of both of our cars to get 1 car that got better gas mileage so we went to VW to test a Passat. We loved it but decided to keep both cars!

You went with Glamma and Cookie to the Farmers Market in the morning and helped garden when you got home!

The rest of the day Saturday was spent doing nothing!

Sunday, you slept in for us then came and cuddled in bed. You love to “sing” the ABC’s.

Daddy made you pancakes for breakfast. You ate 5 of them!!! I think you are in the middle of a growth spurt! After breakfast, we went to Target. Then back home for a nice long nap while Daddy and I played Mario Brothers. So fun. When you got up, Mommy’s friend Erin came over for a visit. She’s pregnant with her first baby...a girl :)

Sunday night was MISS USA! I love that show. I correctly predicted the winner right from the beginning.

Love,
Mom

Heart Toast

Dear Amelia -
You have a new favorite word. "Noooo" You said it 100 times last night and I can't help but to laugh because you say it so cute.

Whatchu talkin about Mommy?

It was Daddys morning to wake up with you and I thought this was so cute. He took out cookie cutters and made your toast in the shape of hearts. So cute!

Mom

Mothers Day weekend!

Dear Amelia -
It may have been Mothers Day Weekend (I extended it more than a day...) but you are a Daddy's girl. Here's how excited you get to see your Daddy!

Saturday, you went over to Sarah's for a few hours while we went to the very chilly Twins game! It was so cool, we got to walk on the field and even saw some Twins players up close and personal!
After Sarahs, you went over to Kikis. I missed my babers! Sunday morning, you met me over at Glamma and Cookies house were all of the Grade's (except Glamma, cuz she is still in AZ) were going to be attending a lunch in honor of the Mom's! Your Godfather, Matt, decided to write on your leg....

Cinco de Mayo

Dear Amelia -
We had so much fun at Gram Gram's on Monday night. You think your big cousin Owen is pretty cool.
Last night, we celebrated Mothers Day early! I got my Mario Bros for Wii, exactly what I wanted!!!

You and Daddy are at home today because Daddy switched a working day with one of his co-workers. Hope you are having fun!!

Mom

Lydia and Mr Lydia's Visit

Dear Amelia -
We had such a great time with Mr Stephens and Lydia. They brought you about a hundred new spring outfits, 2 books and a baby doll! Awesome! You and Lydia played on the floor. When she wasn't paying attention to you, you would call her name. Which made Mr Stephens worried. We over heard him say "Don't start calling me Mr Lydia" HA!

You and Mr Stephens enjoyed some dancing!

Sunday, they took us out to breakfast then they were on their way back home!

Tonight, we are going over to Gram Gram's to visit with Margee who is back to Minnesota for the summer!

Love,
Mom

18 months!

Dear Amelia -
Yesterday you turned a year and a half! That's 18 months that you have graced us with your presence!

Here's what you would look like if you were 18 years old in the 80's. :)
Mr Stephens & Lydia should be here soon! You are catching some quick zzz's before they get here!

Love,
Mom
