Last blog before VACA!!!

Dear Amelia -

On our way home yesterday, Daddy said to the car infront of us"GO! GO! GO" and you copied him. I have a felling its the start to Mommy and Daddy watching our language around you!

Monday, after work...we went to the park. You loved swinging!

Today is a beautiful day! Over 70 degrees! LOVE IT!

The blog will be temporary closed until we return from Florida! See you April 12th!

Target Field!!

Dear Amelia -

Sorry for the late post! Thank you Mr Stephens for the reminder!

We got to take a sneak peek at Target Field on Saturday! The Gophers Baseball team got to play the first game there EVER! It was really cool inside and it was cool to be a part of the first game! Plus, it was only $2 each to get in! SCORE!

Sunday, Daddy worked so you and I went to the grocery store!
Then tried on your life jacket! You wore it around the house for a good 20 minutes. Silly girl...
Its only a 4 day work week this week! WOO HOO!

Black eye...

Dear Amelia -

Last night, you were playing with your pan from your kitchenette and you knocked yourself in the face. This morning, you woke up with a little black eye. Doesn't seem the phase you!

This weekends activities include: fun, naps, eating, Gopher baseball at TARGET FIELD...if we can get in.

Black Eyed Peas!

Dear Amelia -
This week is taking forever! I don’t know its because I’m extra tired this week or because we leave for Florida in less than 2 weeks!!

Monday night, around 2pm...Aunty Pam called and invited me to the Black Eyed Peas concert!! It was amazing. He had so much fun. We saw 2 famous people (Boogaard from the Wild and Josh Duhamel) so that was super exciting. We didn’t get home until after midnight. I was a very tired girl yesterday.

Yesterday, you had fun at daycare while Daddy and I worked. When we picked you up, we went straight home for dinner and playing! I had a bit of a temp so you and I went to bed around 715. We both fell asleep really fast. I slept straight until 630. You woke up crying at 11, so Daddy rocked you.

Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays...

Dear Amelia -
We had a weekend full of birthday parties! Friday, you stayed home with Daddy while Mommy went to Ali’s 80’s party. It was a rad time!! I got some idea’s for my 30th 80’s party! FUN FUN FUN!

Saturday, you took an early nap and when you woke up, it was time to go to Jayden’s 3rd birthday party at the Hopkins Fire House! It was the coolest birthday party EVER! You learned about fire safety, tried on fire equipment...
Went on a ride on the FIRE TRUCK (without a car seat I might add.) I can’t tell you how cool it was! Uncle Bert would have been proud!!!

When we got home from the party, Grandma Kiki was over because you were having a sleepover at her house so we could go to a surprise party for Aunty Pam!!! She sure was surprised!!

Sunday, we slept in and then picked you up! You were in a chatty mood. We read books and said Jackson’s name.

Happy 1st birthday Finn!

Dear Amelia -
Happy St Patricks Day!!!! Today is also your boyfriend’s birthday! Happy Birthday Finn!

Last night we got your book in the mail! Kiki gave me a gift card to a company called A&I Books. I decided to take the caringbridge “blog” that we did from the day you were born and make it into a book! It looks awesome!! Next I’m going to do your blog from the first entry, to your first birthday! Then I’m going to do that for all of your birthdays!

Norman Hewitt

Dear Amelia -

Today the world lost a special person. Your great great uncle Norman passed away in his sleep. He was special to the Grade family. We have all thought of him as a Grandpa. He will be missed by all!

Friday night, Daddy went with Kiki to the hockey game so you and I hung out.

Saturday, We went to swimming and then ran some errands. Kiki came to get you in the afternoon while I went out to dinner with my friends. Daddy painted the ceiling in the living room! Looks good!

Sunday, I slept in while Daddy worked. Kiki dropped you off and we played with Jax for a few hours! Here is Jackson practicing his winking...

Today is uncle Billy's birthday! Happy Birthday Uncle Billy!!!!

They're backkk!

Dear Amelia -
PAM AND JAX ARE HERE!!! Yeah! And we got to play with them last night!

Jackson is so calm and you are so the opposite. You even get to spend some time with them this morning. They are watching you for a few hours because Kari and Katie said you were a little off yesterday so you are staying “home” from daycare. Glamma is picking you up around noon. Fun day!!

Weekend plans are as follow: Tonight, Daddy is going with Kiki to the Boys Hockey State Tournament while you and I stay home. Saturday, your last swimming class! Saturday night, Mommy has a dinner set up with my friends and then a quick stop for Brooke’s birthday party. You are staying with Kiki for the night so Daddy can paint the ceilings. Sunday, Daddy works so you and I will just hang out!

Sick

Dear Amelia -
My poor baby was sick yesterday. Sunday night you had a little bit of a temp but nothing to be too worried about. Daddy said you were a little needy Monday. Monday night you slept for maybeee 3 hours all night. Not fun for anyone. When I got up with you yesterday morning, your temp was almost 102. I worked from home for the day. We went to the doc to see if you had an ear infection, nope. Also checked for strep, nope. Just a sick babers.

I tried to get you to nap 3 times. The only time you actually fell asleep was when we pulled in the driveway at 430pm.
You had a little peep in your step this morning so I brought you to daycare. Hopefully you can make it the full day. Here you are singing Wheels on the Bus..."Up and down"

Tonight, Mommy is going to see Mamma Mia with Glamma and Gram Gram! Fun!

5 Dollar Footlong!

Dear Amelia -
Weekends are the best! Especially when they are fun!! Friday, we went to Menards to pick out paint of the living room then went home and relaxed! Saturday, you went to swimming then over to Glamma and Cookies for a sleepover awhile Mommy and Daddy painted. You went to Edenbourgh Park. You had lots of fun!

Sunday, Glamma and Cookie dropped you off around 1130, we missed you so much! You like the new paint in the livingroom.

You also love the 5 dollar footlong song from Subway. I know its hard to hear but everytime the commercial comes on, you stick up your hand. At first we thought it was a coincidence...

Sunday night, You were starting to not feel well. Had a bit of a temp. Best part is you actually snuggled!!! You didn’t sleep so well tho. I brought you into bed with us for a little bit but you wanted to give kisses instead of sleep. Back to your crib.

Today, Daddy has a meeting at 130 so I’m taking a late lunch until Kiki can come over for an hour to watch you. Then Molly, Owen and Colton are coming to spend some time with you until Daddy gets home! Fun!

Pam and Jax come home tomorrow! YESSSSS!

Dear Amelia -
Kari and Katie (daycare) are always saying how much you look like Boo from Monsters, Inc. What do you think?

The last few days we haven’t been doing too much. Just hanging...
This weekend, you have swimming and then you are going to Glamma and Cookie’s so Daddy and I can paint the livingroom. Fun! A sleepover!! Other than that, we don’t have anything planned! Its suppose to be really nice out so I think while the paint is drying, we’ll clean out the garage too!

Dear Amelia -
This morning I woke up to you and Daddy talking. It was so sweet. Daddy talks to you in a very soft, nice voice and you blab back to him like you are really talking. It was adorable. What a way to wake up :)

You were full of smooches this morning...(the cover to your highchair is in the wash, that’s why there isn’t one.)

Today you have a short day at daycare, Mommy will be there at 3pm to pick you up!

Dear Amelia -
We had a low key weekend. Didn’t really do all that much. Friday, we went to Menards and grabbed a bite to eat. Saturday, we went to swimming classes and came straight home. Sunday, Daddy went to work so we played, danced, read and napped. Fun day :)
