Dear Amelia -
Ahhh! The meds worked! You are back to your normal, happy, good sleeping self! PHEW! It was a rough week for all of us!

Seems like you’ve been enjoying your new daycare! You’ve cried every day this week when I drop you off but I think that’s your age. They just love you there! They always compliment on how cute you are and you are so happy! Such a good babers :)

Here’s a few photos I took of you this morning...

Sad
Happy

Confused!

Tomorrow you are 15 months. YIPPIE!! You have swimming lessons in the morning which Kiki, Glamma and Cookie are going to attend! Daddy has to work this weekend so we are just going to hang all weekend and be good on our diets.

Mom

Ear Infection

Dear Amelia -

Sorry for the late post. We had a crazy day.

This morning, Daddy got up with you. We switch every other morning. On our way out the door to go to daycare, I gave you some medication. I dropped you off at daycare and warned Kari that you were a bit crabbier than usual. Once I got to work, I talked to Daddy. We compared notes....we found out that we both gave you medication. I called the nurse line right away and they said it was fine. While I had the nurse on the phone, I asked her about your cold symptoms. She thought it was best that we bring you in.

Once we were done with work, Daddy and I brought you to urgent care. Guess what...you had an ear infection! At least there was an explanition. So you are on meds and I hope it cures your sickness ASAP!

BYE! :)

Love,

Mom

Who Dat?

Dear Amelia -
Who dat? The saint dat. BOOO! We really thought we were going to the SUPERBOWL but no such luck. The Vikings out played the silly Saints but a win is a win and the Saint’s did just that. I think Kellee said it best via Facebook “Kellee Jaglo is extremely disappointed...not extremely surprised, but extremely disappointed! :’(“ For the record, the refs sucked.

Friday, Mommy went to meet baby Ryder while you and Daddy hung out. Ryder is so cute and calm. He didn’t cry once while I was there. You on the other hand haven’t been feeling well so you cried when I left to go see Ryder and when it was bed time. We ended up turning our monitor off in the middle of the night so you would not get use to us going in there every time you make a peep. Guess it worked because you pretty much slept thru the night Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday, We went to Swimming class which you LOVED this week! WOO HOO! You splashed and laughed. It was fun! Then when we got home, you took a 3 hour and 15 minute nap while Daddy went ice fishing!
Sunday, I drove you over to Glamma and Cookies so Daddy and I could get some serious cleaning done. The house is spic and span now! WOO HOO! Then we headed back over to the Colehours for the football games. You were such a good girl all day but around 645, you were so tired and all you wanted to do was sleep.
How cute is Norman?

Norman was over the game...
Last but not least, here you are doing your best impression of Norman.

Today you are home with Daddy. Hope you are behaving!!

Mom

Molars

Dear Amelia -
Molars. Ugh. They have made the last two nights miserable for you, Daddy and Mommy. You’ve been waking up 3-4 times a night screaming and nothing will calm you down. The only thing that we’ve found that works is bringing you into bed with us for about a half hour, then putting you back in your crib.

Today was suppose to be your last day at Laura’s but you were not feeling well so we didn’t send you. I went to her house this morning before work to drop off a check for her and pick up your sippy cups, food and diapers that we had over there. Next Tuesday, you start at Kari and Katie’s 4 days a week!

Tonight, you are staying home with Daddy while I go bring the Montoya’s some din din and to meet baby Ryder! Your new friend. He was born late Monday night. I can’t wait to meet him. I love his name!! Daddy does too since his nickname is “RyDir”. Cool nickname huh? I made it up :)

Tomorrow, back to swimming lessons. I hope you like them! Daddy doesn’t work all weekend so he’ll be joining us (not in the pool but to watch.) Then he’s going ice fishing with Justin for the rest of the day! Fun!

Sunday, a BIG day in Minnesota!!! The Vikings play the for the NFC (right?) Championship! The next stop for the winner (VIKINGS) is the SUPERBOWL!!!!! We are going over to Glamma and Cookies to watch the game with some people! FUN!

Mom

*Toot* "Uh-oh!"

Dear Amelia -
Monday night – Lindsay came over to play with you for a little bit. You dug thru her purse and pulled out everything in it! That was fun. Then it was bed time
Tuesday - You loved your new daycare! They said that you did wonderfully! You got in a 2 hour nap and were happy when I picked you up! WOO HOO!
Last night, we didn’t do much. You went to bed at 7pm and slept until 645am! Such a good little sleeper!
Your latest funny thing that you do is toot and then go “uh oh!” Its hilarious!

Today is your last Wednesday with Aubrey! I hope you two are having fun!!

Mom

Swimming

Dear Amelia -
Friday night we just hung around for the night. You laughed and we laughed with you.

Well, you hated your first swimming lessons! We sang songs and swam around a bit. You clung on to me for dear life.
Saturday night, mommy went to the grocery store where they asked if I was on food stamps. Which was good for a laugh and a complaint email to Driscolls.

Sunday, we watched the VIKINGS rock the Cowboys! Next up is New Orleans! WOO HOO!! Lets hope they pull out a big win!

Today you are hanging out with Daddy. Grandma Kiki is going to come over for a couple of hours to watch you while Daddy takes Norman to the vet for the stinky ear he’s had for a few months (Daddy was being stubborn and thinking he could fix it himself!)

Tomorrow you are going to Kari and Katie’s daycare for the first time. I hope you like it there because you will start going there full time next week!

Love,
Mom

New Hobby

Dear Amelia -
You have had the giggles the last few days! You love to be tickled!

You have also picked up a new hobby. I don’t know where you would learn something like this....
We have such a fun day tomorrow!! Your first SWIMMING LESSONS!!! I can’t wait to get you in the water. Lets hope you love to swim as much as I do. Other than that, we don’t have much planned. Daddy works all weekend! Sunday, is the big VIKINGS vs Dallas (booo) game! Lets hope they pull out a big win.

Love,
Mom

Words

Dear Amelia -
You are saying so many words these days.
I read on my babycenter weekly email that early talkers say up to 20 words. Lets share all of the wonderful words you can say:
Daddy, Mommy, Doggy, Norman (Morman,) Sock, Shoe, Buh-Bye, Hi, Uh-Oh, Kiki, Glamma, Aubby and Baby. I think that's it. You also do a lot of gibber-gabber. Its so fun when you say new words! Yesterday on our way to daycare, you were pointing and looking at your feet going "Shoe", you were not pleased with me that I didn't put any shoes on you.

We have decided to put you in daycare 4 days a week starting in 2 weeks so this is one of the last times you'll be with Aunty Aubby for the day! Hope you are behaving!

Mom

Jam Jam's

Dear Amelia -
We didn't do too much this weekend. Friday night, Awesome Uncle Aldo was in town so we went over to Glamma and Cookies for dinner and were home by your bed time.

Saturday, we hung out all day and waited for Daddy to get home from work. Once he got home, you and Daddy went back to Glamma and Cookies for a sleepover and I went over to Lindsay's for an old fashion sleepover!

Sunday, we didn't get out of our jam jam's once. Even you. It was awesome.

Daddy went to the movie Avatar with Aubby and Uncle Doodie. He said it was awesome!!

Tonight, we are going to meet with a new daycare provider. We need something a little more in our budget. Hope we like her!!

Love,
Mom

PS - American Idol starts tomorrow! WOO HOO!!!

Funny Everything

Dear Amelia -
Not much to report over the last day but you think EVERYTHING is funny these days. Being scared gets funnier every time...

Norman is funny, Daddy, Mommy...everyone! Its so fun :)

We don't have much plan this weekend. Tomorrow, if you are not in the middle of your nap, we are going to meet Shelly, Holly and their girls at the Park Tavern for a little bowling. We will be watching but it will be fun to catch up with them! Lindsay is in town so we might hang with her for a bit too! Daddy works on Saturday. Sunday, he is going to see Avatar with Aunty Auby and Uncle Doodie.

Mom

Tru Dat!

Dear Amelia -
Tru dat = True that. Daddy and I say that saying about 100 times a day. I'm annoyed by it but can't stop! Will it be the saying of the year? Last years saying was "OMG".

Yesterday, Uncle Billy left for his 6 month deployment. I'm so proud of him and his wife for being so strong to be able to be apart for 6 months. You and Mommy are going to make a trip out to Virginia Beach in Feb to visit Pam and Jax.

Mom

New Year!

Dear Amelia -
Brrr! Its freezing outside! -11!! I had an empty tank of gas this morning so I had to fill up. I can't feel my feet!

We had another fun weekend! On New Years Eve, you went up to the Millers cabin with Glamma, Cookie and the Millers! You had a fun time with your boyfriend Finn! Daddy and I went to Sarah and Justins for a party. New Years Day, we had Dirks Christmas Re-Do. Fun times! Saturday - You took a bath and looked extra adorable when you got out. I wrapped you up in the new kitty towel that you got from Glamma and Cookie for Xmas.
Saturday night, Mommy went out with the Miller clan for dinner and to 2 birthday parties! It was so fun. I wish Meghann, Wes and Finn lived in town!
Sunday, Daddy worked so we watched the Vikings WIN at Glamma and Cookies. Here are you and Emo watchin the game.
You have been talking so much lately. Your favorite word is: Auby, after your aunty Aubrey. You also said: Norman, Glamma and Cookie over the weekend!

Love,
Mom
