Happy Hanukkah!

Dear Amelia -

Today is the first day of Hanukkah! Happy Hanukkah to those that celebrate this fine holiday.

You are starting to become a little more brave on your walking. While I was at Target, Daddy called to say that you had walked from the coffee table all the way to the microwave last night, all by yourself! I also got a text from Laura this morning saying "Amelia is walking!" No news to us but its exciting none the less!

Since I've not posted a blog for 2 days, heres a video of Amelia being a diva this morning.

This weekend our plans consist of: Daddy working. Mommy and Amelia going to PD's holiday party. Mommy going to Katie's house for a cookie exchange and Vikings football!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Dear Amelia -

We set up our Christmas Tree on Friday. It looks so pretty. You cried anytime we walked near it. Last night you would actually sit next to it. In this picture it looks crooked. We'll have to fix that.

I'd also like to share the video that Ashley put together from Billy and Pam's wedding. She's an awesome photographer and has decided to purchase her own CRAZYBOOTH! Fun!!

2010 is going to bring a new schedule to your blog. I'm going to update every other day. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Hope your readers don't mind TOO much!!

Vistors!

Dear Amelia -

You are so popular. Look at all of the visitors who have visited your page. This is since June 2009. Wow! Lots of ghost readers I guess :)

We had an uneventful weekend...FINALLY! Friday, we did nothing. Saturday, I cleaned while you napped. Saturday night, you were walking around like crazy...

By Sunday, we were bored. So we went with Glamma and Cookie to pick out their 12' Christmas tree with Stewarts, Liebs and Martha. It was colddd!

After tree shopping, we went to lunch/breakfast and you were tired so I bought you out to the car to take a nap.
You are home with Daddy today and tomorrow! Yippie!

Weeeekend!

Dear Amelia -

What a boring week! We really haven't done anything exciting so your blog has been a bit bland. Last night, you took a bath.

and that was about it! Your teeth are starting to come through so your mood has improved! Yeah for us!

This weekend we don't have much going on for once! Daddy works all weekend so you and I are going to do some shopping and cleaning!

Walkin'

Dear Amelia -

Last night was just another normal night at the Dirks'. We had dinner and played. We practiced walking...

Then it was bed time!

This morning, you were looking adorable as always.
Tonight, Daddy is picking you up at Kiki's because I'm going to get my massage that you gave me for my birthday! YIPPIE! I can't wait :)

Not much to report from last night. We brushed your teeth

and you liked it!

Today is Britney Spears birthday, which she happens to share with ME! So Mommy turns 29 today. Pretty easy number to change. Life is good so there's nothing not to be happy about! Now the count down begins for my 30th 80's party! :)

DECEMBER?

Dear Amelia -

Today is the first day of December and it certainly feels like it! Its pretty chilly!

You were a crabby baby last night. We put you to bed at 7 and you fell right to sleep. Maybe its another growth spurt!

Remember this hat from last year?

Well I had another one made to fit you this year. You pull it off any chance you get! It was one of my favorite shower gifts that I got when I was pregnant with you!

Hopefully you are behaving for Laura today!!
